Online Gambling
In January one of the largest webwallets for purchasing casino credits shut down to the US, when this happened many other webwallets also closed to US. As the month progressed on, many online casinos decided to stop allowing online gambling from the US to their casino. Now this has been a big blow to many players.
The US government claims that the casinos are money laundering, and it is going to terrorist. Well that is simply a lie. They also claim that online gambling is highly addictive, and is hurting families. Which it could be but it is not restricted to just online gambling. The truth is all forms of gambling is addictive. Having a Indian casino within a short distance is harmful, being able to buy lottery tickets on impossible chances to win hurts many families. The government also claims that online gambling establishments are not controlling players spending, well they do more so that a cashier at a local store where you buy lottery tickets. The clerk never tells someone they can not purchase more lottery tickets since they have already spent over a certain dollar amount, and same goes for Indian casino which by the way have the worst payout ratios. The employee’s at a Indian casino doesn’t tell you to leave because you have spent to much. So the governments excuses are just that.
The government should allow people to spend your own hard earned money on whatever choice of entertainment as you wish. You earned it, You should be able to spend it without being controlled like a child.
If the government ( which is true reason ) wants the tax dollars on it, then legalize it and regulate the online gambling establishments. They all want it!
